It’s in the air . . . Can you feel it? I sure can!
You know what I mean. It’s that wonderful time of year when smiles are broader, laughter and kindness seem to take the place of frowns and everyday problems.
One of my favorite things about cold weather is SOUP.
There is one little problem though. It hasn’t been COLD!
I’m pretending that winter has come to Idaho.
I stumbled across an interesting recipe the other day, over at Taste of Home. It wasn’t the apple or the crisp that made me take another look. It was the words cake mix.
I knew immediately that it would be scrumptious. It is and it was. I’ll be making this again and again!
Cough, type, cough, type, cough, type.
Since my body has felt less than fine lately, I’ve been all about easy dinners. This is one fabulous easy dinner, that you will make again and again and again!
It’s been said . . . Never ask a favor of someone, till you give them something sweet!
I’m giving you some s-w-e-e-t, and I’m hoping you give me a favor in return.
I’d like you to meet my favorite casserole. I make it as often as I dare. I also make Broccoli Cheese Soup using the same basic ingredients found in this recipe. I figured it was about time I share that little tid bit with you. In fact, it also can be used to make a mean Cheesy Potato Soup with Crumbled Bacon.
The other day, I was standing in line at the grocery store, patiently waiting my turn. Rows & rows of magazines are perfectly put under our noses to tempt us. I’m often pulled in by those with covers showing beautiful berry desserts, or warm cinnamon rolls dripping with icing. What happened to catch my eye, was found at the very top of the cover page. It said: WORLD’S BEST CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE RECIPE INSIDE.
FALL is in the air, and APPLES are dropping everywhere! Warm Apple Crisp topped with ice cream or Whipped cream is the perfect dessert to bring to the family table.
Description: Caramel Apple Crisp with a rich, gooey caramel sauce surrounding tart apples. The topping is a crisp, buttery, nutty shortbread crumble.
This bundt cake brings back the good, the bad & the miss-informed. You see, my roommates and I did a lot of baking. We went through bags & bags of sugar and flour. The apartments around us were well fed. When we slacked off, they would bring us a dozen eggs or a small bag of sugar, as a reminder that we were NOT doing our job!
Also . . . just a bit about Pinterest.
