SLOW COOKER BARBECUE PORK CHOPS

This is a super easy Main Dish to throw together when you are in a hurry. The pork chops are tender & delicious. Just make sure you buy boneless, lean pork chops without a lot of fat on the sides. You will love this!

Ingredients:

1 (18-ounce) bottle barbecue sauce (Use your favorite brand)
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon flour
3/4 cup cooked & caramelized sweet Vidalia onions (optional)
*We love the flavor of onions, but not the onion itself, so I often substitute onion powder instead.
1 1/2 pounds lean boneless pork loin chops
1 teaspoon Montreal steak seasoning
Preheat slow cooker on high, meanwhile, add 2 tablespoons olive oil or Crisco oil in skillet. When oil is hot, brown pork chops in skillet on both sides. Drain well, and set aside. Stir together in slow cooker: barbecue sauce, sugar and flour. Stir in onions if desired or onion powder to taste. Sprinkle both sides of pork chops with steak seasoning. Add to slow cooker and submerge in barbecue sauce. Cover, reduce heat to low and cook 8-10 hours, until pork chops are very tender. YUM!
