Some like it hot,
Some like it cold,
Some like it in the pot . . . nine days old.
I just like mine on chips!
Admit it, you either like Salsa or you reject it . . . flat out. I have a four year old Grandson, who would pour it on his cereal in the morning, if you allowed him.
Once a year, we put on Leathers. My leathers don’t flaunt any fringe, but the backside does scream Harley. Only quietly though! We all pack up for a week to 10 day jaunt, in one flexible Harley suitcase that adorns the back of our mean, noisy, reckless bikes. Impossible you say . . . almost! The trick: Put everything into those jumbo sized zip-loc bags, and squeeze the crap out of the bags, so that the oxygen is GONE! It works. Someday, I might even do a tutorial on that process!
What does that have to do with SALSA . . . you ask?
When we got home from one of those butt busting trips, we gathered together to watch a video of all the pictures snapped along the way. One fun neighbor (Gay) made this Salsa, and it did a happy jig on my Taste buds. Well, of course, I asked for the recipe. I figured that it was one of those . . . grow your own tomatoes, smash them, grab the rubber gloves – peppers dance, then bottle it kind of SALSA! I was pleasantly suprised.
This is EASY, SIMPLE . . . and just darn good SALSA, that you can put together in a flash. I have other neighbors whom I also love, that have also brought me SALSA . . . . right to my front door. One neighbor the Mora’s have Mexican heritage, and they bottle DANG GOOD AUTHENTIC SALSA. I think I will have to take them some cookies, and beg for that recipe! Another neighbor, (Jessica) has also brought me PERFECT – NOT TOO HOT – for my tongue SALSA. I need that recipe as well. Heck . . . I grow my own tomatoes!
Back to this recipe . . . It’s just Darn Easy Good!
DARN GOOD SALSA
1 diced Avacado (opt)
1 Jar of Homemade Chili Sauce
*the Brand is actually called Homemade Chili Sauce.
It comes in little round bottles in the grocery store.
2 cans (7-oz) diced green chiles
1 can or bottle Green Chili Salsa (12 to 14-oz.)
*I buy the Areba Fire roasted mexican green salsa – mild or medium
3 to 4 green onions – chopped up
Garlic salt to taste
*I add about 1/2 Tsp.
Mix it all together, and serve with tortilla chips.

Hmmmm…chili sauce, who would have thought. My mother-in-law cans the best chili sauce in the world. I love salsa, I’m going to have to give this a try.
I just LOVE homemade salsa! I have been trying a few new salsa recipes and I will have to add this one to the “must try” list. It looks yummy! We also buy these amazing chips from Winco that are Juanita’s brand, and combined with the salsa, you are in for an amazing treat 🙂
That looks really good!
I Love Your Site! I haven’t visited it for a bit and I came across the picture of your beautiful kitchen. Do you happen to have a website or source where I can see your houseplan or a similar plan. I Love your Kitchen and want to design a house around it!
Why do your neighbors bring you salsa? I’m gonna have to have a talk with my neighbors. 🙂
That looks sooo very yummy! I’m going to whip up a batch right now! 🙂
Okay, I’m one of those that LOVE salsa and anything with heat! I use salsa in my recipes all of the time. I ask myself what’s lacking in this stew, what’s lacking in this, oh I know salsa! Lol. I’m definitely making this! Thanks so much for sharing! Yummy! If you like eggs with salsa you have to try Huevos Rancheros! So good. I have a recipe posted on my facebook notes.
Well, the picture looks great & I will definitely give it a try but I’m curious that it has no tomatoes. Was just wondering if that was an oversight?????
