QUICK BARBECUE PORK CHOPS

This is what I made for our dinner last night.  It’s really good and super easy to make on a busy night.  You could also use chicken breasts if you like.  This is a great way to tenderize both chicken and pork.  You only need about 30 minutes from start to finish, and leftovers are also delicious.  With the leftover pork or chicken, cut or shred into small pieces, and fill a soft tortilla with the meat, lettuce, beans etc.  Try this soon, your family will enjoy it!
Make some homemade french fries .
Soak in ice cold water for a few minutes to remove the starch.
Drain well on paper towels to remove all the moisture.
This makes for nice crispy fries.
Either fry in hot oil, or bake on sprayed baking sheets at 450 degress .
Turn fries over- half way through to brown other side.
It’s quite nice to have a garden with fresh vegetables.
A lot less….running to the grocery store.

YOU WILL NEED:

Your favorite pork chops, trimmed of fat
(As many as your family will eat)
Your favorite Barbecue Sauce
(I like Sweet Baby Rays)

DIRECTIONS:
Pour about 1-2 tablespoons of Olive Oil in hot skillet.
Place trimmed Pork Chops in pan.
Season with salt, pepper and anything else your family likes.
Brown both sides of chops over med-high heat until nicely golden brown.
Turn heat down to low/simmer
Remove any excess grease.
Pour your favorite sauce over the tops of the chops.
I also add a good sprinkle of Brown Sugar (too taste)
and
3 tablespoons of water to my skillet.
Mix the sauce, water & Brown sugar together by moving the pork chops around a bit.
Let simmer slowly for about 20 minutes or until chops are nice and tender.
YUM!

Serve with :
 Homemade French Fries
Corn on the Cob
Broccoli with cheese sauce
