YOU WILL NEED: 2 cups cooked, cubed ham 1 – 32 ounce package shredded frozen potatoes 1 – 10.75 ounce can cream of mushroom or chicken soup 2 cups […]

This is a great recipe, because you can use the delicious, tender pork for many things. Serve it over rice or use the meat for tacos, burritos, enchilada’s etc. It’s simple, because you use your crock pot! *I think it would also be great served over lettuce, with grated Cheddar cheese, crushed corn chips & […]

I think we all Love White Chocolate dipped pretzels. Here is a recipe that Paula Deen showed today. It was much quicker than dipping individual pretzels, and the salted nuts would also be very good. You could add a variety of things to this, (mini m&m’s, dried fruit) if you don’t care for the nuts. […]

I love your blog and your recipes, but I have found several misspelled words. If you are paying someone to maintain your blog they need to do a better job of editing. Love the recipes.ReplyCancel

      Hi Gerontologist,

Sometimes I’m in a big hurry, since blogging is just a hobby for me, and not my job.
I’m a pretty good speller, but sometimes . . . one just might slip by!

You probably won’t believe me, but I’d drive to SLC, UT….just to get these Onion Rings. I really don’t care for chunky onion rings, but these are super thin, and fried really crispy. I’ve made these several times now, and they are almost exactly like Tony Roma’s. Make sure that you buy sweet onions, and […]

    HI
Should a little oil be added to the non stick skillet when stir frying the chicken??ReplyCancel

    • Jonna - 02/22/2011 - 2:20 pm

      Hi Rosalie,
Once you have prepared the chicken with egg wash & then rolled it in the flour/cornstarch mixture, you must fry the chicken in Oil. You can use a Fry Daddy like I use, a deep skillet or a wok filled with oil. Once the Chicken is golden brown, clean the oil out of your skillet or wok. Heat it up again, add the Orange Sauce to the wok or skillet, thicken it and then add your Crispy chicken.ReplyCancel

This recipe comes from the Barefoot Contessa. I enjoy her recipes, because they are beautiful but fairly simple! The Pastry Cream is delicious, and quite easy to make. Make sure you have little Tart pans with removable sides, so that they come out pretty. If you don’t want to make individual tarts, you can use […]

I really like Asiago Cheese. It’s stronger than most cheeses, so you can also use half Asiago & half grated Parmesan. This is also really good with grated Colby Jack & Parmesan if you want a milder taste. YUM!  Ingredients 4 cups heavy cream 1/8 teaspoon chicken base or  1/2 of a bouillon cube 1 […]
