G.H. Cretors Caramel Corn & Cheese Corn Giveaway

The other day, I heard a knock on my front door.

I opened the door, but nobody was there.

Greeting me instead, was a great big beautiful blue & white striped box.

Look what was inside.

Ohhhhh!

Someone knows this house loves popcorn.

We eat a lot of popcorn, but we’re picky!

We hate microwave popcorn – we pop our own.

To be honest . . . I decided right away that this popcorn would taste like the popcorn you buy in those Christmas Tins.

Guess what?

I devoured an entire bag of  CARAMEL NUT CRUNCH.

It’s buttery caramel corn with freshly roasted almonds and cashews.

It was an 8 oz bag – it’s gone!

This is what was in the big beautiful blue and white striped box.

Between my husband & I . . . we pretty much emptied each and every bag.

It’s really good and fresh and very easy to eat.

The hard part is called . . . STOP EATING!

Get this . . . See that bag of Chicago Mix above.

It’s Cheese corn and Caramel Corn together.

Yeah, I know what you’re thinking.  You’re wrong.  I was wrong too.

It’s the perfect mix – and it’s gone.

It’s all natural – Gluten free – they use Brown Rice Syrup instead of Corn Syrup.

Oh my gosh, that looks good! I love popcorn… I could have that for dinner every night and be happy! I like buying blue popcorn from Amish Country popcorn and I air pop it, then brown some butter to top it off. I also make some killer microwave caramel corn that tastes just like cracker jacks!

We are ‘make it yourself’ popcorn people too. It just never seems to taste as good as when you do it in a pan with oil.

That being said, this looks wonderful and I’d love to try it!ReplyCancel

Then my uncle blessed us w his famous Carmel corn. Mmmm we all beg him to make it every time we are together. We even took the ingredients w us to Russia so he could make it for us. Love your blog. Happy bakingReplyCancel

  • Tracy Bomgardner - 11/10/2012 - 12:16 am

For me, caramel corn, popcorn, cheese corn …. it’s all about the smell. The smell triggers such memories for me. There used to be a caramel corn shop at the K Street Mall when I was a little girl. They spelled it with a K. Karamel Korn Shop. We used to stand outside and watch them stir it up, inhaling the wonderful smell! I could probably count on one hand the times we were able to buy some. I was like Laura Ingalls of Little House on the Prairie, at Oleson’s Mercantile, staring at the jar of candy that she could never have. Today, I still adore caramel corn. The smell of it always takes me back!ReplyCancel

My favorite popcorn story is that my mom used to make two HUGE roasting pans full of popcorn most Sunday nights for our family to eat while we watched a movie. With six kids, one would be poppycock (microwave soft caramel) and one would be just butter, but it was always great.
We also usually had those Christmas tins of butter, cheese, and caramel popcorn that we’d mix cheese and caramel together, so I know just what you’re talking about (except I’m sure your kind is way better than the tin’s stale popcorn!)

MY daughter and I love popcorn! We are like you and like to pop our own popcorn. We have tried the microwave popcorn, but my daughter likes to see her popcorn popping. I bought her a mini Popcorn maker kinda like the ones at the movie theatre and she loves it! We use it on a regular basis!
This popcorn that you are giving away sounds and looks yummy! I use to like cracker jacks that comes in the box with the fun little prize. It was probably the prize and not really the popcorn that I liked. Thank you for the chance to win!ReplyCancel

I was raised on popcorn. I am 62 years old and still consider popcorn as one of the major food groups. My dad could not cook and whenever my Mom was gone or sick he would popcorn for Breakfast, Lunch and Supper. My two sisters and I loved it. It is the major snack in our home and we always grab a bag to take with us on road trips or on our boat. I am now working on the grandkids generation!!!! This is the first time I have heard of G H Cretors popcorn and it looks wonderful. Even if I don’t win I am going to order it.ReplyCancel

Caramel corn is my #1 favorite snack. I have an amazing recipe for caramel corn. I only make it during the holidays because I honestly lose my mind around the stuff and have to limit myself to the holidays. I started making it the week before Halloween and have made it 6 times already. I have to share every batch because it’s so addicting. I would love to try G.H.CRETORS Chicago mix as we have had the Chicago mix in Chicago at Garret’s Popcorn. It’s an amazing combo!ReplyCancel

I agree that microwave popcorn is not the way to popcorn bliss. We have a deli and a small store near our home that pops corn and bags it up. When my husband really wants to make me happy, a bag of popcorn is waiting for me when I get home. The popcorn in your post looks delicious.ReplyCancel

Popcorn is my favorite snack and I’m a purist, too. No microwave popcorn for me. I’ve got my Whirlygig popper and it makes perfect popcorn.

My favorite thing to do on the rare occasion when I’m in Chicago, is to hit up Garrett’s Popcorn. Unfortunately, I don’t get there often enough. I would love to try this brand and if I could purchase it locally, that would be an even bigger plus!

    Love your blog!
