I Love Banana’s Foster, however most recipes require the use of Liqueur or Brandy. If you don’t stock either of these in your home, here is a recipe that is alcohol free, & equally delicious.

*8 servings (1/4 cup sauce with 1/2 cup ice cream each)


1/2 cup dark corn syrup
6 Tablespoons Butter
2 packages (3 oz each) Vanilla or Banana cream cook-and-serve pudding mix
not instant
3 medium bananas, diagonally sliced
1/2 to 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1 quart vanilla ice cream
Reddi-wip or Cool Whip Extra Creamy Whipped Cream in a can, optional
use real whipped cream

Combine syrup, butter and dry pudding mix in 2-quart microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH 6 minutes, or until sauce begins to boil and thickens, stirring after 2 minutes. Or combine in pan over low/medium heat & stir constantly until thick & bubbly. Stir in bananas and walnuts. Serve 1/4 cup warm sauce over 1/2 cup scoop of ice cream. Top with whipped cream
