I wanted to stop by and wish you all . . . a very
MERRY CHRISTMAS
This house has been a whirlwind of happenings.
Some good.
Some bad.
What I do know . . . without a doubt,
I’m very, very blessed.
I wanted to leave you with 3 family favorite recipes.
Recipes that are ALWAYS on our Christmas table.
This year was no exception!
These little Coconut cookie candies are called SKILLET COOKIES.
Even those who don’t care for dates . . . seem to love these.
They are simply scrumptious!
Christmas isn’t Christmas, without
NUTS & BOLTS – that’s what my sweet Mom always called them.
Every Holiday at my house . . . involves Nuts & Bolts.
O.k. . . . listen up.
This Pound Cake is a must make.
My daughters would dis-own me, if it wasn’t on our Christmas table!
My husband would as well.
Of course there is Fudge, Divinity, Caramels, Bavarian Mints and so on and so on and so on.
A few of you have asked to see a few pictures of my home.
Please come on in.
It’s nothing fancy, but . . . “It feels like home.”
I’m very blessed.
My youngest daughter – (Danielle) just barely had a new baby girl.
She is beautiful and her name is:
CAMRYN DANIELLE
We planned to be there for the spectacular event.
She was sent to earth early!
We missed them for our Christmas Dinner, but we are heading their way very soon.
Did you know that we have 10 grandbabies now? We do.
I’m very blessed.
If you might be wondering . . . what was on our Christmas Menu . . . here it is.
Prime rib, Butterfly shrimp, Brown sugar glazed spiral cut ham,
Creamy Cheesy potatoes, Spinach salad, Fresh fruit with our favorite dip,
Spinach Artichoke Dip & chips,
Rolls with cinnamon sugar butter,
and
More sweets than we know what to do with!
(Treadmill – you and I have some date nights planned)
I’m very blessed to have such a wonderful family.
Oh . . . see those stockings?
I love them.
I found them at Real Deals a few years back.
I’m very blessed.
Guess what my favorite dish on the table was?
The SPINACH SALAD!
It’s my fav.
I’m very blessed.
One of my sweet friends gave me this Hallmark Santa.
My grandkids know that it’s off limits!
I love it . . . it just makes me happy.
I’m very blessed.
This is my favorite room.
Can you guess why?
When I leave this earth . . . I’m taking my piano!
My wedding gift from my sweet half, was a beautiful upright piano.
He seemed to know that I longed for a grand.
Not a baby grand . . . a grand.
One day . . . he surprised me with a beautiful polished – Mahogany Kawai grand.
I cherish it.
I’m very blessed.
See this clock?
My grandmother had a Grandfather clock.
I was always mesmerized by it as a child.
My husband seemed to know this . . .
and bought me my own!
I love my husband – I’m very blessed.
I love the feeling at Christmas.
We should bottle it.
Thank You for visiting my home.
Thank You for reading “Get off your butt and BAKE.”
Thank You for all your sweet comments . . . I would really like a few more!
Thank You for being my friends.
As soon as I’ve loved on sweet little Camryn for a week or so . . . I’ll be back.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

You do have a beautiful home. Did you do the decorating yourself or have someone do it for you? It looks so warm, cozy and inviting. Enjoy that new grandbaby!
Hi Carolyn,
Yes…I do the decorating. It would cost too much to have someone come in and do it. It’s nothing special, and it seems to be the
only holiday that I do any decorating at all!
Jonna
Thanks for sharing the picturs of your gorgeous home! Congrats on the newest grandbaby!!!
Absolutely lovely! You have such a flair for beauty, both in decorating and cooking! Thank you for sharing your “gifts”.
First let me say that your website is awesome. Your home photographed is gorgeous. I was wondering what part of the USA you live in? As for all your delicious recipe’s, I am like a little kid in a candy store. Having had a serious accident which a forklift hit and ran me over, I’ve been immobile for the last 6 mos. Now I am baking like never before. It feels so good to bake again. Thank you for sharing. Happy New Year!
Hi Kathy,
That sounds like a terrible accident!
I hope your healing is quick.
We are in Idaho….snow and cold.
