What a great assortment of Christmas recipes! I made your Almond Joys last year and again this year. They have become a favourite and they’re one of the easiest to make. Hope you had a great Christmas and all the best to you and your family for 2017.
Hi Debra,
Thanks so much for your sweetness! I hope your family had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Hi Jonna,
I just came across a recipe page that I saved quite awhile ago. It’s for your peach caramel pie made in a skillet. I was going to ask this question back then, but the page ran off and hide in my computer until I came across it while cleaning stuff out. I really wanted to make this then, but I was afraid of what it would do to my mother’s skillet. It is very old and my prized possession. I use it all the time, but only for frying food and making cornbread. I’ve never put it water. Maybe I should just buy me one to make this sort of thing in. Please advise.
Hi Pat,
I would hate to steer you wrong, but I rarely put my cast iron in water. I use the salt technique to dry clean.
I think in your case though, I might just buy me another to bake/cook with and hold on to your treasure!
