As one year ends and another begins, I want to thank you for sharing a little part of my life. This crazy baking blog is a happy space for me and getting to know you through comments and emails brightens my days. I appreciate the ideas you share, your subtle nudges for help and also those of you who just silently lurk behind the scenes. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your lives, in and out of my kitchen.
I’m excited for a fresh new year and the opportunity to put stacks of saved recipes to the test. Time always seems limited, but hopefully the occasional knock at your door will still be welcome.

My wish for each of you in 2016, is peace of mind and a happy heart!

Christmas . . . that magic blanket that wraps itself about us. That something so intangible that it’s like a fragrance!

Most of you probably think I’ve disappeared from recipe earth, but I’ve put on my apron and I’m not taking it off until January! (well maybe to shower)

I’m ready to heat up my kitchen and begin my holiday baking. I’ve stocked up on sugar, butter and flour for weeks now. I’ve also ramped up runs on the treadmill in anticipation of calories.
Ugg.

We have a love hate relationship with muffin-tops. One seems to be the cause of the other!

Today . . . I think I’ll talk about the one we love. Warm, sweet berry filled muffins. These are so good, they’ve been requested twice this week.

The treadmill will be your best friend in order to avoid the other muffin!
