This dessert is scrumptious and very easy to prepare. The crust is buttery & crispy. You can just use apples if you desire, but I add raspberries & huckleberries to the apples. Serve with ice cream or Whipped cream. This is good hot or cold.
APPLE- RASPBERRY- HUCKELBERRY CRISP
YOU WILL NEED:
4 C. peeled and sliced Granny smith Apples
or other tart Apple varieties
3/4 cup raspberries
1/4 cup huckleberries
1 – 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 Cup water
1/3 Cup butter
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
DIRECTIONS:
Place apples, raspberries & huckleberries in 8×11 buttered glass baking dish. Sprinkle them with the cinnamon, salt, and water. In separate bowl, mix softened butter, flour and sugar.
Grab a handful of dough, and press firmly in palm of hand, so that the crumbs are very chunky. Place evenly on top of apple mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes or until crust is a deep Golden Brown. Serve hot or cold.
