This is a family favorite, that we make often!

APPLE CRISP with a Twist

4 c. peeled and sliced apples
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. Salt
1/4 C. Water
1/3 C. butter, softened
1 Cup Flour
1 Cup Sugar
3 Tablespoons Huckleberries
1/2 C. Raspberries (fresh or frozen)
Butter a glass 8 x 11.5 inch glass baking dish. Place apples, raspberries, huckleberries in dish, and toss evenly. Sprinkle with the cinnamon, salt, and water. Stir slightly to mix. In separate bowl, mix butter, flour and sugar with fork or your hands. Press this mixture firmly between your fingers, to make clumps or pea size pieces of dough. Place on top of apple mix, until all the dough has been used. *Make sure you make the crumb topping chunky!
Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes or until apples are tender and crumb crust is a deep golden brown.
Serve with Whipped Cream or Ice Cream
