Can you tell I like soup! My sweet Mom gave this recipe to me years ago. Don’t let this recipe deceive you……it’s so simple to throw together, & serve large groups, or to take to a sick neighbor. After I take this soup somewhere, they always call for the recipe. Put it together in your crock pot…..let it simmer for a while, & eat! Delicious.
Sometimes I add 1 cup of our favorite (dry) pasta, and let it simmer in the soup for 15 minutes or so. I also like grated cheddar cheese, or grated Parmesan on top. It’s similar to Minestrone. It’s just doesn’t get easier than this.
YOU WILL NEED:
3 cans Campbell’s minestrone soup
or other brand
1 Large can pork n’ beans
1 to 2 cans kidney beans, undrained
1 lb. browned hamburger, drained
1/2 diced onion
(you can use minced if you are in a hurry)
3 cups water
2 Tablespoons Worchestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. Oregano
1 tsp. garlic salt
Salt & pepper to taste.
1 cup of your favorite pasta (opt)
DIRECTIONS:
Mix all together in crockpot of other large pot,
and let simmer until soup thickens slightly, and is bubbly hot.
Serve with grated cheese on top.
