Peach Strawberry Blueberry Crumble Dessert and 4th of July recipes

I wish you could hear the buzz around my house. Well, it actually takes place in the backyard.  You can hear it, the minute you round the corner and head towards the garden.  The Raspberry bushes are full of action!  I’m wondering what these bees say to each other as they work their magic.  The berries are still green, but there are a bajillion’s of them!

I’m not sure if I’m happy or sad about that!  The garden is looking splendid, and that makes my husband very very happy.  New little potatoes are soon to be dug up, simply boiled and served with a bit of sweet butter, sea salt & pepper.  I’ve already popped open bright green sweet peas & the carrots, corn and beans are all coming along nicely.  The smell of Salsa radiating through my house is only a few weeks away!

When I opened the Taste of Home Magazine and read . . . Peach Crumble Dessert, I immediately knew that I was heading for the kitchen. Crumbles, Cobblers or Crisps are seem to pull me in.  The ingredients in this Crumble call for all peaches, but I only had 4 peaches in the fridge.  I eyed beautiful strawberries and a container of fresh blueberries that were lurking nearby though!  Perfect.  Trust me . . . it was!

As for the crumble on top . . . Well . . . it was buttery, crispy, delicious and it won – The most beautiful Crumble contest!  Not really.  It should have though.

If you have some peaches or possibly other fruit lurking nearby, you should make this crumble for the 4th of July.  You will win the most Beautiful Crumble Award!!!

Do you need some other ideas?  Here are a few of my families fav’s. Hopefully these ideas will tempt you to grab an Apron and run for the kitchen.

Happy 4th of July!
